InitiativeEnvironmentally-friendly Manufacturing - Lighter Weight and Smaller Water Meters -

Residential water meters* have a certified usage life of eight years, meaning that approximately 7.5 million units are replaced throughout Japan every year.
In aims of producing more environmentally-friendly products, Aichi Tokei Denki developed the new SD Series of water meters, which are 50% lighter and smaller than existing models.
These new meters improve the efficiency of transport and installation, and contribute to reducing CO2 emissions from the manufacturing process. *Nominal diameter: 13 to 20mm

InitiativeEnvironmentally-friendly Manufacturing - Reusing and Recycling Gas Meters -

City gas meters are replaced before the end of their ten-year certified usage life. Instead of discarding the removed gas meters, however, we replace the worn-out parts and have these recertified to be used again. These meters are therefore environmentally-friendly products.
