The amount of personal information with which we are entrusted within our business fields, more specifically the fields of system development and operations contracting services, has been growing steadily. In light of this fact, we have established a policy for properly handling and protecting the personal information we acquire in connection with our business activities, including that of our customers, shareholders, suppliers, and employees. Similarly, we engage in business activities based on the principle of respect for the personality of each individual.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company primarily engages in business related to metering instruments and specialized equipment for corporate customers, and uses personal information in the following manner to the extent necessary for achieving the related business objectives.

1. Contracting Information

When receiving contracts to develop, customize, and maintain and manage meter reading systems, emergency report systems, mapping systems, and other systems, or when receiving contracts to install, replace, and read metering instruments, for example, the Company is entrusted with the personal information of the customers belonging to the client at the time the operations are contracted. The Company uses such information only to the extent necessary for the objective of the contacted services.

2. Sales Information

The Company uses the personal information of the officers and representatives, etc., of our customers for the purposes of requesting opinions regarding our business activities, products, and services from our customers through interviews and questionnaires, of providing them with information, and of contacting them regarding delivery, billing, and after-sale service following the conclusion of business transactions.

3. Shareholder Information

The Company uses the personal information of our shareholders for the purposes of exercising shareholder rights and of fulfilling our obligations under the Companies Act, of implementing various measures intended to further the understanding of our business and to develop seamless relationships with our shareholders, and of engaging in shareholder management services such as preparing shareholder data based on various laws and regulations.

4. Human Resources Information

The Company uses the personal information of our officers, employees, retirees, and job seekers for the purposes of managing human resources and labor affairs at the Company and of providing employee benefit services.

5. Business Information

The Company uses personal information for the purpose of contacting government agencies, economic organizations, community organizations, educational and research institutions, the media, financial institutions, suppliers, and other external parties in connection with our business.
