Aichi Tokei Denki Group Human Rights Policy

We, the Aichi Tokei Denki Group, aim to develop our business in a sound and sustainable manner under our corporate philosophy of “Reliability, Creativity, and Service,” and contribute to the creation of a safe and secure society. To this end, we believe it is essential to respect the human rights of all individuals affected by both our business activities and through our supply chain.
Therefore, to promote initiatives to respect human rights and fulfill our responsibilities, we have established the “Aichi Tokei Denki Group Human Rights Policy” (hereinafter referred to as “the Policy”) based on the United Nations’ Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (hereinafter referred to as “UNGP”).

1. Scope of Application

The Policy applies to all officers and employees of the Aichi Tokei Denki Group.
We also expect our business partners and other stakeholders to understand and support the Policy, and to respect human rights.

2. Respect for Internationally Recognized Human Rights

We respect internationally recognized human rights, including the fundamental human rights that all human beings should enjoy as stated in the International Bill of Human Rights and the principles concerning fundamental rights established in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
Additionally, we support the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct, and the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy, both of which address the responsibility of businesses to respect human rights.

3. Compliance with Laws and Respect for Human Rights

We comply with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions where we conduct our business. Additionally, in cases where there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and local laws, we will seek ways to respect internationally recognized human rights, as long as this does not result in a violation of local laws.

4. Human Rights Due Diligence

To fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights as a corporation, we will establish and continuously implement a human rights due diligence framework. Human rights due diligence involves a series of actions taken by the Aichi Tokei Denki Group, in accordance with the UNGP, to proactively identify, prevent, and mitigate any potential adverse impacts on human rights related to our business activities and supply chain.

5. Remediation and Remedy

Where we identify through the human rights due diligence process or other means that we have caused or contributed to adverse human rights impacts, we will work to address and remediate these impacts.
Additionally, even where we have not caused or contributed to adverse human rights impacts, we will strive to prevent or mitigate such impacts if our operations, products, or services are directly linked to them through a business relationship.

6. Dialogue with Stakeholders

In conducting human rights due diligence, addressing the remediation of adverse human rights impacts, and providing remedies for human rights violations, we will engage in dialogue and consultation with relevant stakeholders.

7. Spreading Human Rights Policy Awareness and Educating Officers and Employees

We will conduct appropriate training and raise awareness to ensure that officers and employees understand the Policy and conduct themselves based on the Policy in their respective roles.

8. Disclosure of Information

We will disclose our initiatives to respect human rights in accordance with the Policy through our website and/or integrated reports.
