| Overview | ＜Background／Issue＞ As the demand for potable water has increased and the importance of water has been recognized in Malaysia, there has been a need for technological advances that can be used for efficient water metering. Accordingly, water utilities have required water meters with high metering accuracy. In addition, even with a high-performance water meter, the water utility was looking for a water meter with high accuracy and low running cost, based on the belief that it is not practical to have a meter that does not last long and requires high maintenance costs. ＜Countermeasures＞ With accuracy, service life, and running costs being considered important at the same time, our electromagnetic water meter SU was adopted. The reasons for the adoption are as follows. ・The sampling speed was improved to 0.5 seconds, enabling more accurate readings. ・The stainless steel body is waterproof, dustproof, and drip-proof to IP68 standards, so it can be operated even during natural disasters such as floods, No water or dust ingress, eliminating the need for maintenance. ・Battery life of more than 10 years. ・Accuracy lasts more than 10 years. Designed to maintain accuracy for many years, eliminating the need for calibration or meter replacement. ＜Effectiveness＞ The SU electromagnetic water meter addresses the challenges faced by Malaysian water utilities. They provide a high level of accuracy, durability and reduced operating costs. We will continue to support safe and secure water supply by proposing maintenance-free and high-performance water meters based on customer feedback. |
